Welcome to our student resource hub designed specifically for Caregivers like you, where you can find a wide range of support services available both on and off the UCLA campus. Our goal is to provide you with valuable resources that can help you balance your responsibilities as a student and a caregiver. From academic assistance to emotional support, financial, community connections, and on-campus food resources, we've got you covered. Explore our comprehensive collection of resources and take advantage of the support available to you. Support Network

As UCLA students, we have many helpful resources available to us. This is especially important for those of us who are also caregivers. Here's a list of useful resources with links to apply or get more information:

Bruin Resource Center 

Not sure how to begin navigating resources at UCLA for caregivers?

UCLA Case Workers

Case managers can assist students in various ways, including academic support such as: 

  • Notifying professors about missed classes

  • Helping with class withdrawal

  • Identifying on-campus resources

  • Creating plans for next steps

  • Assisting with emergency housing

  • Consulting on students in distress

  • Meeting with students in person (1-4 times)

  • Checking in periodically via email/phone

  • Providing training for staff and faculty

Students with Dependents (SwD)

The Students with Dependents (SwD) Program offers various resources for student caregivers  of  minors, including:

  • Parenting grants

  • Childcare grants and options

  • Diapers and formula assistance

  • Additional support services

LA County Caregiver Resources Center

The LA County Caregiver Resource Center offers low or no-cost services to family caregivers, including:

  • Family Consultation & Care Navigation

  • Respite Care financial assistance

  • Short-Term Counseling with licensed professionals

  • Support Groups

  • CALM (Caregivers Are Learning More) Education & Training

All services start with a Family Consultant who guides you through available options.
